A hardish hike up to the blockhouse provides an excellent view of the Hartbeespoort Dam. There are kloofs to explore and maybe pass an elephant sanctuary on the way back. Relax with a braai to end the day’s outing.

A bit of a steep hike to the top of the mountain, but rewarding views to the south of farm fields. There’s a vulture restaurant and the highest waterfall in the Magaliesberg. Lunch next to a cool pool.
