The hikes sub committee, under the leadership of Gloria Bezuidenhout, is enthusiastic about organising as varied a programme, to suit everyone, as possible.

Sunday hikes are of utmost importance, and the committee is always on the look out for new venues.

Castle Gorge and Foothold are favourites and appear on the programme each month, but be assured it is very unlikely that you will hike the same route month after month as there are myriads of possibilities and the different leaders have their own preferred choices.

At least one week end camp is organised per month as well as quarterly backpacks, ranging from moderate to strenuous.
