The Uitsoek Hiking Trail is in Mpumalanga, near the Uitsoek Forest Station.  The backpack hike is rated as fairly strenuous, and should be tackled by fit hikers only.  It is a beautiful hike, with some very steep ascents, and descents, passing by numerous wateralls,crossing mountain streams, through indigenous forest and grasslands,  and pine plantations with soft pine needle carpeting underfoot.
