Chicken Run
The Chicken Run Hike takes place on a chicken farm on the south side of the Magaliesberg mountain.
A big effort is required to ascend and descend this part of the mountain due to the combined effect of the dense bush and steep slope of the mountain.
Once on top there are a number of kloofs to visit, such as Kronkel Kloof, Middle Kloof and Cavern Kloof; while hiking, streams and running water can often be encountered in the rainy season.
Sometimes a large troop of baboons may be observed which inhabits this area. In all there’s some good hiking.
