There's no place to shelter ...

Shelter Rock

The Shelter Rock Hike is named after the farm of the same name which is situated east of Rustig.

The farm boasts some fine braai, swimming and ablution facilities.

On the way to the top of the mountain Shelter Rock, about half the size of a bus can be visited; it’s interesting to realise that this broke off the side of the mountain and rolled down to its present position.

On top there are some remains of the Boer war to visit.

The hiking is good with several kloofs to visit.

There is usually a bring and braai after the hike.
