A very steep bundu bash to the summit, reveals breathtaking views of Hartebeespoort Dam with its vast expanse of water.

 

Hike in a southerly direction for about 2km and focus on the stunning images of landscapes with a kaleidoscope of fiery rustic colours contrasting with the wall to wall blue sky to the horizon. 

 

Admire the vultures and if you are very lucky, the African hawk eagles sweeping down with a whispering rush of wind in their wings.  Take time to study the intricacy of the bloom of Peglerae aloe surrounded by its thick prickly leaves.

 

Return via the almost barren shale rock down to the gorge and a stream.
