A 'peace of heaven' ...
Hikers Haven
Hikers Haven, nestled in the foothills against the mountain scape of the Magaliesberg range, is a tranquil retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life. Witness the unsurpassed sunsets, admire the unpolluted skies and hear the haunting cry of animals in the surrounding hills.
Hikers Haven is a fully equipped ‘cottage’ with outstanding views of the magnificent mountain range. There are beds for 10 people in the cottage and plenty of private spots for campers. A comfortable and relaxed atmosphere can be enjoyed at the communal sitting/braai area.
Water is on tap, piped from the mountain springs.
At present more ablution facilities are being built for the campers.
There are a number of hiking routes to the crest of the mountain, where a myriad of wonderful hiking opportunities, depending on the length, difficulty etc. of a requisite hike, are on offer.
Members may hire Hikers Haven and make up their own parties to spend a day or one or more nights at this place of piece and tranquility. This is also available to selected conservation orientated individuals and organisations.

Camping at Foothold
The secluded camp sites are free to members BUT a fee is charged for non members. If Hikers Haven is occupied, the residents must be accorded privacy and visitors must make use of the western part of the camp, which is accessed by the lower camp road and therefore totally avoid the Hikers Haven environs.
Foothold day visits
Members and selected non-members may make use of the facilities on day hiking visits.
