The Baviaanskrans Hiking Trail is situated in the Kgaswane Mountain Reserve near Rustenburg.  The trail is 19,5 km and includes a waterfall view and the Garden of Remembrance. Overnight facilities are good.  Kgaswane Mountain Reserve, previously known as the Rustenburg Nature Reserve,  is situated on the summit and against the northern slopes of the Magaliesberg, a few kilometres south-west of Rustenburg.  The Magaliesberg towers 400 metres above the surrounding plains and offers breathtaking views of the town.  The Pilanesberg and the Waterberg are to the north with the Magaliesberg curving eastwards towards the Hartbeespoort Dam.  The plains of the Bushveld lie to the south and west.
