One starts out at the Lincolnshire Lodge. After a rather steep hike up the old Boer War track one reaches the old blockhouse. Here one can rest and savour the magnificent views over the Hartbeespoort Dam and surrounding vistas.

The slog is behind one so now enjoy the relatively easy hiking along the ridge keeping the marvelous views in sight.

Ensure that you take plenty of water with you to drink. Lunch can be enjoyed overlooking the dam prior to making tracks back to the lodge.
