Interested in becoming a leader, the JHC offers various ways tools, and teaching methods that will allow you to become a great leader, and lead many a hikes in the Magaliesberg. The Magaliesberg offers great kloofs and natural pools for leaders to hike to.

Alan ChaterHiking since the age of 10, he joined the club in 2002, and shortly became an aspiring leader for the club. In his spare time he enjoys Nature & Wild Life, Photography, Pencil sketching, Hiking & 4X4 tracks, Physical Science, Electronics.
Alan Chater will be able to tell you a lot about the various hikes the club has, but more so on his favourite hikes, hikes that have any game to spot are special, or a good kloof to explore being his favourite Sunday Hike[s], and Tsitsikamma Hiking Trail being his favourite away hike[s].

Allan LillHiking since the age of 16, he joined the club in 1979, and shortly became an aspiring leader for the club. In his spare time he enjoys Reading & Gym.
Allan Lill will be able to tell you a lot about the various hikes the club has, but more so on his favourite hikes, Fountain Gully being his favourite Sunday Hike[s], and Otter Trail being his favourite away hike[s].

Ed CooganHiking since the age of 16, he joined the club in 1986, and shortly became an aspiring leader for the club. In his spare time he enjoys Local History.

Peter RoosHiking since the age of 51, he joined the club in 2000, and shortly became an aspiring leader for the club. In his spare time he enjoys Squash, Soccer, Geography, History & Music (Pink Floyd Fan).
Peter Roos will be able to tell you a lot about the various hikes the club has, but more so on his favourite hikes, Bartlett's Farm, Bergheim, Kloofing Hikes being his favourite Sunday Hike[s], and Whale Trail, Reunion, Madeira being his favourite away hike[s].

Raymond AndersonHiking since the age of 35, he joined the club in 1992, and shortly became an aspiring leader for the club. In his spare time he enjoys Travel, Photography, 4x4, Scuba Diving, Dullstroom, Whisky & beer.

Roger PriceHiking since the age of 17, he joined the club in 2007, and shortly became an aspiring leader for the club. In his spare time he enjoys Bridge & Military History.

Ryan de HaastHiking since the age of 12, he joined the club in 2011, and shortly became an aspiring leader for the club. In his spare time he enjoys Camping, Programming, Gaming & Movies.

Sam DwyerHiking since the age of 10, he joined the club in 2009, and shortly became an aspiring leader for the club. In his spare time he enjoys Fishing, Golfing, Cycling & Camping...(All outdoor activites).

Santjie AustinHiking since the age of 46, she joined the club in 2004, and shortly became an aspiring leader for the club. In her spare time she enjoys Gym & Reading.
Santjie Austin will be able to tell you a lot about the various hikes the club has, but more so on her favourite hikes, Foothold, Fountain Gully & Remhoogte...actually all Sunday Hikes being her favourite Sunday Hike[s], and Otter Trail, and the yearly Easter Camp being her favourite away hike[s].

Tracey MayHiking since the age of 11, she joined the club in 1998, and shortly became an aspiring leader for the club. In her spare time she enjoys Travel, Reading & Scuba Diving.

Wendy PalmHiking since the age of 16, she joined the club in 2000, and shortly became an aspiring leader for the club. In her spare time she enjoys Trees & Animals (Meercats and Elephants).
