The Programme

Wed 3 - Magalies Mountain Lodge

A new Magaliesberg venue east of Harties Dam.

Sun 7 - Phefumula

Demanding but short hike to the top with panoramic views of the oldest mountain range in the southern hemisphere. Borewors rolls and cold drinks on sale after hike. Enjoy!

Tue 9 - Slide show/Club Evening at 19h30

“Safari in Africa in a DC3 Plane” – Karl Jensen.

Wed 10 - Pelinduna

Pleasant path walking – swimming pool in picnic area.

Fri 12 – Sun 14 - Wathaba base camp trail(B12)

Payment with booking - Wathaba is 20kms from Machadodorp in the Skurweberg mountains. Tranquil and scenic surrounds. Easy hiking on well marked paths.

Sun 14 - Castle Gorge

Whilst hiking this beautiful wilderness area, look at the various views, touch the rugged rocks, taste the wonderful water, hear the bird calls and smell the plants.

Sun 14 - Adventure Mhlabatini (B10) Grade 4

Payment on booking -Exciting, adventurous and loads of fun. Agile and fit hikers only, please.

Wed 17 - Magalies Retreat (NEW VENUE)

Magnificent 360° views with game. Swimming pool.

Sun 21 - Uitkyk

MEET AT FOURWAYS - Magnificent views of Hartbeespoort dam once you reach the top. Hike to the re-opened cableway. Be sure to carry at least 2 litres of water.

Wed 24 - Groenkloof hike and braai

Excellent path walking amongst game. Braai in picnic area.

Fri 26 – Wed 1 May - Wolkberg

Payment on booking - 2 days leave required Wilderness hike in the beautiful Wolkberg mountains (Strenuous). Good level of hiking fitness required.

Fri 26 – Sun 28 - Foothold monthly camp or day visit

Facilities open to all. Laze, walk, bird watch, socialize or assist with maintenance. Sat eve self catering braai.

Sun 28 - Foothold hike. NO BRAAI

The chain ladder and Footloose gully will get you to the expansive escarpment with easy hiking to pools or down the various kloofs.

Sat 27 - Thurs 2 May - The Num Num Trail. Backpack or slackpack

Payment on Booking - Leave required Spectacular scenery, cascading perennial stream flows through thick riverine forest. Amazing area with great accommodation.
