Take time to enjoy the fauna and flora ...
Serendipity Hiking Trail, Nylstroom

The Serendipity Trails are situated between the towns of Nylstroom and Naboomspruit in the Limpopo Province.  The 1200 ha private game farm, on which the Serendipity trails are situated, contains a most unbelievable variety of terrain and wildlife.

There are two 2-day backpack routes and the option of day walks from Sable Valley and Tierkloof.  This double-loop trail meanders through a pine and hardwood forest.  The hiking is easy and gives the hiker a chance to savour nature’s beauty: the vistas, the fauna and flora.

Sable Valley Hut is an old farm house and is equipped with 30 mattresses, cold showers and flush toilets.  Tierkloof is a thatched house with hot shower, gas stove and braai area.

Serendipity and Berg Camp are specially constructed wooden camps on two levels and cater for groups of up to 14 people, with the usual good facilities.

The backpack routes follow practically the same route except for the beginning and end sections. The routes are 12km per day in length and are well marked with steel rods painted white at the top.  Except for the beginning and end, the backpack routes follow virtually the same routes as the day hikes.  Plenty of swimming opportunities exist along the trail.
