Castle Gorge hike

Nothing nicer than relaxing nears the pools after an adventurous scramble through the wilderness.

Vergenoeg hike & braai

Hike the zigzag path to the top of the mountain. Stand on top of white rock for magnificent views over Hartbeespoort Dam. Perhaps see some vultures. Return for a refreshing swim and braai.

Sterkfontein Heritage Lodge hike & Lunch

Big 5 area. Good hiking and very close to home. Indulge in a bite to eat afterwards in pleasant surroundings

Youthful-Magoebaskloof – 2 day hutted trail

The indigenous forests of Magoebaskloof are among the most beautiful in South Africa, resembling a fairytale wonderland. Streams cascade over mountain slopes and moss covered rocks while ferns line their banks. This is truly a very special hike, one to be remembered

Heydays year-end celebration  at Rustig Farm

Camp Sat. night or visit on Sunday. Sat. cocktail party-wear mad hats (18h15). Followed by self- catered braai –Sunday hike (9h15)-Ernst’s special tea-swim-Milly & Jean’s lekker lunch  (14h00). Bring table & chairs. Book with Milly by Wed 15. Camping  (R60) Cocktail party (R15)-Lunch (R30). Pay at Rustig.

Circular route using paths going up and down. Swim and picnic in delightful farm garden. Hike ends 13h30. See details above. Book!
