Hike or pony trek for scenic beauty ...

Sehlabathebe National Park Trail

Sehlabathebe is the oldest nature reserve in Lesotho.  It is both remote and rugged with an average elevation of 2,400 metres.  It is accessible only by a 4x4 vehicle, but hikers do have the luxury of donkeys to carry their belongings from the border post to the lodge.

Once inside Sehlabathebe, the beauty of the area belongs to the holder who will have the opportunity to do some lovely hikes and/or pony treks.  It is always a good idea to take a guide with you on your excursions as it is easy to get lost if a thick mist descends.  The weather is unpredictable.  Keep an eye out for the shy antelope and several rare birds.

Accommodation is available at Sehlabathebe at the lodge or there are plenty of camping spots.
